Do you see my server passwords?
No. Captanel is a desktop app. Your passwords and keys are stored only on your computer, encrypted by Windows, and connections go directly from your computer to your servers.
Which servers does it work with?
Any Linux server you can reach over SSH: VPS, VDS or dedicated, from any provider (Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Contabo, OVH, AWS and others). Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky, CentOS, Fedora, openSUSE, Alpine and Arch are supported.
Do I need to install a panel on my server?
No. Captanel does not install a web panel. It only adds small helpers when you ask for them, like the 24/7 monitor.
Is there a limit on servers?
No. Every plan includes unlimited servers and game servers. Plans differ in users, devices and how many sites you can set up with the Captanel site engine (3, 25, 100 or unlimited). Your own WordPress and other sites are never counted.
What happens when the trial ends?
Connecting to servers is paused until you enter a license. Your saved servers, settings and backups on your computer stay where they are.
I deleted a site I did not like. Do I get it back?
Yes. When you delete a site from the server in Captanel, its slot is freed straight away and you can set up a new one. Trying another design on the same domain never uses a slot.
Does it work on Mac?
Windows is available now. The macOS version is coming.
Can I use it with my team?
Yes. Team 5 includes five users and Team 10 includes ten. Each person logs in with their own e-mail and every action is recorded in the activity log.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account at any time; your license stays active until the end of the paid period.
I bought a new computer. Can I move my license?
Yes. Before you uninstall, choose License → "Remove license from this computer" (uninstalling Captanel does this for you too). If the old computer is gone or was wiped, enter your key on the new one and tick "Move it here". You can move a license up to 3 times a month; for more, write to support.
What are AI credits, and what happens if I run out?
Credits are used by AI features such as the AI terminal and website and store texts. Each plan's monthly credits renew on the 1st of every month (Single user 350, Freelancer 500, Team 5 750, Team 10 1500). Unused credits do not carry over. If you run out, only AI features pause until the 1st; the rest of the app keeps working. The Gamer plan does not include AI features.
What is the difference with yearly billing?
With a yearly plan you pay for 11 months and get 12, so one month is free.
What is included in the trial?
Every feature is available for 14 days. During the trial you can set up 2 sites with the Captanel site engine and use 50 AI credits. No card needed.
What happens if a payment is late?
For the first 7 days you see a reminder, on day 8 the site panel is locked and on day 15 the sites go offline. No data is deleted; once payment is made, everything is restored.
